Our story
Carlos Ribeiro, founder of CW Kitchens, built his company on passion, talent, and an unwavering commitment to quality—principles that have driven its success for over 38 years. His dedication and love for the craft transformed CW Kitchens into Cambridge’s leading custom cabinetry company.
Following in his footsteps, Carlos’ children, Tacha and Nicholas, discovered their own passion for the industry. After working their way up through the company, they proudly stepped into leadership roles as President and General Manager in 2025. Now at the helm, they remain committed to preserving their father’s legacy while continuing to prioritize the heart, craftsmanship, and core values that have always defined CW Kitchens.

1983
Carlos Ribeiro began his journey in cabinetry in a small shop in Portugal, crafting custom pieces for local homeowners with care, precision, and passion.
2000
As the business flourished, CW Kitchens moved to Bishop Street in Cambridge. The shop began as a 4,000 sq ft space, but Carlos’ vision and dedication led to three expansions—growing the facility into the 28,000 sq ft building we operate in today.
2025
A new generation has taken over CW Kitchens. Carlos has passed the torch to his children, Tacha and Nicholas.
1986
After moving to Canada, Carlos founded CW Kitchens. What started as a one-man operation soon expanded to a team of three, then ten, as demand for quality custom kitchens grew.
2010
To better serve homeowners and designers, we built a 5,000 sq ft showroom next to our shop. This space allows clients to explore our workmanship firsthand and find inspiration for their dream kitchens.
At CW Kitchens, our main goal is to design and build premium custom kitchen cabinetry for homeowners in Cambridge, Kitchener, Waterloo, and the surrounding areas. With over 38 years of experience, we’re committed to delivering exceptional craftsmanship, personalized service, and kitchen solutions that combine beauty, function, and lasting quality.
